For a single fee an agency can send their agents to a tranning course with Bert Croom Private Investigations, our service courses provide training for five to thirty people and cover various topics. When sending your staff for tranning at BCPI you can save up to 30% off the cost of a normal training course. BCPI In-Service training allows agencies to quickly respond to immediate training needs and have courses set up in a matter of weeks. If the Participant registers for a total 6.0 hours the cost is $208.00 for the entire 6 hour CEU class.

Continuing Education Rules & Regulations for North Carolina Private Investigators

PI Education online continuing education courses for private investigators satisfy your continuing education requirements for North Carolina. Bert Croom Private Investigation Training will use ZOOM as its online forum for these Classes. Bert Croom’s Office will send you a link to your email once registered.

All PI Education online continuing education courses have been approved by the North Carolina Private Protective Services Board and can be verified here: BOARD APPROVED CONTINUING EDUCATION COURSE.

The following are the North Carolina rules regarding private investigator continuing education as posted and mandated by the licensing authority:

Effective February 1, 2020, all NC PI licensees must complete 12 hours of continuing education prior to their license renewal. CEUs must be obtained during the two-year period prior to license renewal and “extra CE hours” cannot be carried over.

To receive Continuing Education credit, a licensee must:

1. Attend a PPSB approved continuing education course.
2. Sign an attendance roster upon entering the training class site. (Accomplished online through user registration)
3. Obtain a CE Certificate of Completion from the instructor upon completion of the class.
4. Attach the Certificate of Completion to the license renewal form and submit it to the PPSB office with license renewal paperwork. (Do not send certificates to the PPSB prior to license renewal.)
5. Submit the “Licensee’s Statement of Continuing Education Hours,” which the licensee fills out and signs verifying that they have completed the required twelve (12) hours of continuing education for license renewal. (Do not send the Licensee’s Statement of Continuing Education Hours to the PPSB prior to license renewal.)

Name of Program: Continuing Education (CE) credit as specified in 12 NCAC 7D.1302 for a period of 4 years.
