Digital forensics is the process of identifying, acquiring, preserving, analyzing, and reporting electronic data that may be useful in an investigation. It includes data from hard drives in computers, mobile phones, smart appliances, vehicles navigation systems, drones, and other digital devices.

Cyber Investigation:

Activity conducted to assist in the identification of an individual or assets, on-line covert contacts, on-line research, the proper downloading and preservation on Internet related items and activity.

Examples:

• Covert contact on a social media platform
• Extraction, preservation, and presentation of information from the web (Images, videos, podcasts, etc.)
• Research: identify social media presence (including potentially deleted accounts)

Data Recovery / Date Preservation

Titan Digital Forensics is trained in the use of multiple tools (physical and software related) to recover data from corrupted hard drives, re-formatted hard drives, damaged cellular devices, deleted files and the general recovering of information from a device whether the data loss was accidental or conducted on purpose.

Additionally, if an electronic device is going to be provided to a third-party examiner, such as at a deposition, should you make a copy first to ensure data is preserved and unaltered. If a device is going to be utilized, would a copy of the device for a specific time frame, assist in Litigation?

Consultation

Consultation includes:

• Search Warrant reviews for cyber related cases.
• Review of reports provided by other Forensic experts.
